Anyone remember the Gaslight Pancake House?

It was on Beckam street across from Stanley's BBQ and was also known as the Carnation Ice Cream place.  Little did I know at the time that the guy fixing our banana splits and hot fudge sundaes would some day be the man I would marry.  Should have paid closer attention!  LOL  He still fixes those delights from time to time for our grandchildren and I think they love them as much as we did.  He has told me how much fun it was to work there.  Told me that the couple that owned the skating rink were regular customers.

Do any of you remember going there?

I definitely remember the Carnation Ice Cream Shop.  That was a fun place to go.

I do remember the Carnation Ice Cream place. Your right, it was good. It was more upscale than O'Neals  but I always went back to O'neals over on Glenwood at Houston. I guess it was just a habit and closer to home. Does anyone remember O'neals being on West Bow just off Broadway? I bet all the Robert's classmates remember that little hole in the wall. I think that may have been his first store.

I had no idea O'Neal's was ever on Bow St.  We lived in the area of the fairgrounds, so we always went to the one on Houston/Glenwood.  Going to get ice cream was a big deal back then.  Wish things were still that simple now!

I remember getting coupons for a free scoop of ice cream at O'Neals from the drug store on Bow Street.  For the life of me, I cannot remember the name of the Drug Store.  Couldn't be age could it?  I loved O'Neals so much that I would ride my bike there to get ice cream even though I was forbidden to ride that far from home.  Once caught, my trips were abruptly ended!!!!!  Geez!!!

Does anyone remember the A & W Rootbeer stand on Bow Street?

A&W on bow street....or was that Glenwood/Garden Valley???   use to go by and get a quart of Root Beer in that cone shaped container.   Then over to the pool to check out the girls.  Glenn D. was life guard there.

The very first one I remember going to was on Bow Street. I think you are right about it also being on Garden Valley and Glenwood right across from the Little League Baseball fields at Fun Forest.  Wow, lots of memories about Fun Forest swimming pool, the putt putt golf course, tennis court and playground!!!  Geez...you guys are hurting my brain making me dredge up all those old memories!!! It is TOOOOOOOO much fun!  Thanks for the memories.
