I want all our classmates that have gone on before us to have a rose by their name in the profile list so I am adding this to all of them.  dc

I shipped out on the Friday before his death to Germany. We had a gathering at Ricky McCurley's home that Thursday night before and Joey showed me his Triumph 600 motorbike. He was real proud of that bike. A week later his wife and him was at the 4 way stop on Hwy 14 and Loop 323 on the north side of town heading home on the bike. He was stopped at that 4-way and a Drunk Driver did not stop and ran over him and his wife. His wife recieved a lot of bruising but Joey was gone. They even had helmets on. All of this happened on September 22, 1976 late afternoon, early evening. He has been missed. I am still in contact with the family and spend a lot of time with his younger brother. He was very funny and had a spirit about life that was contagious.

Joey was our closest friend....miss hearing his GTO crankup about midnight after Saturday Night Live. He would never wake me up...except when he peeled off in the Judge...... Joey would have been very proud of his brother Jimbo, his newphews John & Joey and now his great newphew "Noah"...born September 9, 2009....
