Billy was our sports editor for the Lions Tale. He was looking forward to a career as a sports writer and he would have been great at it. We had two crazy journalism trips (Austin and Denton) and he had a great sense of humor. He died the nite of our senior prom.
I remember becoming friends with Billy in journalism class. He was a creative writer and loved to talk about the future and his dream car, a candy apple red Camarro. Billy was just fun to be around. I was asked to say a few words at his funeral. I don't remember what I said but I'm sure my words didn't do him justice. I still think of Billy occasionally and my memories always bring a smile.
