Barry was on his motorcycle and a car pulled out in front of him.  He took the bike down to avoid a hit but some how he did not make it. 

DPS officials say that the preliminary crash investigation has revealed that an unknown Ford Expedition pulling a utility trailer turned onto FM 14 from a private driveway. The driver of the Ford failed to yield the right of way to the motorcycle, a 2006 Harley Davidson being driven by Mayo. 

The Ford Expedition did not make contact with the the motorcycle. However, the motorcycle laid down and skidded on its side, traveling southbound on FM 14. DPS says they do not know which direction the SUV went after the incident, and also do not know whether the driver knew what had happened.
