John Russell Sigler, a man with a larger-than-life personality, a heart full of compassion, and a deep love for his family and music, passed away at 72 on June 24, 2023. Born in Tyler, Texas, he leaves behind cherished memories and a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. John's generous nature knew no bounds. He possessed an incredible ability to give selflessly, always willing to offer a helping hand to those in need. Whether giving someone the shirt off his back or mending broken items, John's resourcefulness and skill were unmatched. He was not only a master at fixing tangible objects but also possessed the extraordinary gift of mending hearts, including his beloved daughter, during challenging times. His gentle nature and unwavering support comforted those who sought solace in his presence. A genuine people person, John never met a stranger. His friendly demeanor and genuine interest in others made him approachable and beloved by many. His warm smile could light up a room, and his larger-than-life personality left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path. John's welcoming spirit and ability to connect with people on a deep level fostered countless friendships that lasted a lifetime. Music held a special place in John's heart. From a young age, he developed an unwavering love for melodies that touched his soul. Whether humming along to his favorite tunes or playing musical instruments, John found solace, joy, and a means of self-expression through music. His passion for melodies and rhythms was infectious, and he shared his appreciation for music with those around him, creating lasting memories and fostering a deep appreciation for the art form. John's greatest joy in life was his family. He shared 34 beautiful years of marriage with his loving wife, Betty Darline Sigler. Their bond was a testament to the enduring power of love and companionship. John was a devoted father to his daughter, Stephanie Nichole Sigler, and embraced his role as a stepfather to Cristy Bardin and Bruce Corley. His grandchildren, Kadence Sigler, Madison Bardin, Bryce Bardin, McKenna Warren, and Beckham Corley, brought him immeasurable joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them. John's love extended to his brother, Gene Sigler, and sister, Laura Craycraft, as well as his nieces and nephews, creating a tight-knit family woven together by love and shared memories. John Russell Sigler's legacy of compassion, resilience, and love will forever be etched in the hearts of those he touched. His vibrant personality, ability to fix brokenness, and passion for music will continue to be inspiring and uplifting. Although he will be deeply missed, the memories and impact he made will endure through generations. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held honoring his love of music, family, and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the American Cancer Society to reflect John's generous spirit and desire to help those in need. As we bid farewell to our beloved John, let us celebrate his remarkable life, the joy he brought to others, and the cherished memories that will forever live on in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear John Russell Sigler. May your spirit shine brightly in our lives, reminding us to embrace love, kindness, and the power of music.

Prayers for his family and friends, I knew John only for a moment in high school, but always thought of him as a friend. He will no doubt be missed
