Our Texas Health Rockwall family mourns the loss of our hospital’s founder, Ken Teel, who passed away Saturday, the day before his 70th birthday.

KT breathed life into our hospital 13 years ago, when we first opened our doors to patients in December 2007. Although he retired in 2012, KT will always hold the title of Founding President, as it was his vision that brought a hospital to our community. Ken previously served as president of Lake Pointe Hospital in Rowlett.

If you never knew KT, you should know that above all else he was truly one-of-a-kind. He touched many lives with his kind words, warm embrace, and heart for service. He was a quiet, thoughtful and compassionate man who subtly shared his faith, knowledge, and gift of “knowing” with others far and wide. As hospital board member Alma Williams-Howard put it, "He asked for nothing, but gave so much."

Please join us in remembering and celebrating KT’s life, as we lift his family up in prayer.

Kenny was a friend to all of us and our quarterback of our football team.
Kenny and I spent a lot of time together as we practiced together, him throwing the football to me.R I P Kenny as I know that you will be missed by all those you touched in your walk through life.
God bless your family.
